The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS youth home Sundbo outside Fagersta receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and substance abuse. We are tasked with providing care for young people with special care needs and receive boys who have been sentenced to closed youth care (LSU).
Job Description
As a caretaker with us, you will work in a wide area and with varying tasks within caretaking. You will for example work with error reports, transport/goods handling, waste management, vehicle maintenance, and be part of the fire protection organization, among other things, heavy lifting occurs daily. You will be the contact person/guide for craftsmen and have close cooperation with the property owner. Other tasks such as snow removal, lawn mowing, and simpler repairs/maintenance of premises/furniture may also occur.

You contribute to the smooth operation of daily activities and ensure that the workplace maintains a high standard through both practical and service-oriented efforts. The work takes place in different environments and requires you to be unpretentious, flexible, and solution-oriented.
In your daily work, you will come into contact with young people, which places demands on you as a person, making personal suitability a central part of the recruitment process.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is social, responsible, and structured. You have a good ability to see what needs to be done, prioritize correctly, and drive the work forward independently. You are orderly, meticulous, and have a natural sense of structure. For you, order and cleanliness are a given, and you understand the importance of caretaking functions working smoothly, efficiently, and with high quality in the daily flow.
We see that you have relevant high school education and experience from a similar role or another service profession.
You should also have:
- Driving license B
- Training certificate for wheel loader
- Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
